With singapore's service industry under fire and under maintain, it should be reasonable that we as singaporeans lower our own standards to accomodate the lack in expertise in those that service us, so that they could have the chance to turn over a new leaf and not succumb to the pressure to change... Sadly, this is just a naive view on my part...
and recently, i've decided to take this considerations back...

Holidays are coming real soon and i'm dying to look for jobs to support my own living, and wah la, when u flip to section 651 of RECRUIT, u see lots of adverts looking for students to take up odd jobs... no doubt its hard work but they do actually pay well, for 12 hours thru the night, u could actually earn 120 dollars! Thats a good deal, considering if u just have to turn ur life upside down for a week, u could actually live comfortably for a month...

And so i called up this company...

me>"Hi, r u looking to employ people to do factory..."

I was cut abruptly...

Her>"R u singaporean?"
Me>"Yes"
Her>"How old?"
Me>"21"
Her>"Ok, as advertise on the newspaper u see for urself.Job very simple, manual labor."
Me>"Oh ok, anyway, i could only work for a week like that cos..."

kana cut again...

Her>*Sneer*"You might as well stay home and sleep!Waste my time only!"

kana slam phone...

Me>"....."

I was like WTF!!!!???!?!?!

Nevermind, i cool down and called another job agency....

Me>"Hi, r u looking to employ people to do factory work?"
Him>"Yes. May i know ur age?"
Me>"21"
Him>"Where do u live?"
Me>"Bukit Panjang."
Him>"You finished NS?"
Me>"Ya, i'm currently studying in NTU now..."

cuts me off...

Him>"Oh ok, we dun need u..."

phone dead again...

WTF!?!?!?!

Kana ram wall twice in a row, wat the hell....
sianz...
I really give up hope on these people liao, not worth my time man, good thing already found an internship at a logistic and shipping company liao, else really LPPL liao...
haha...
Idiot lor, dunno wat the hell is wrong with these people man, wait till they have a taste of their own medicine then they cry father cry mother... haiz... but nevertheless, i will still not hold a grudge and a bias view against people in the service industry, cos there are still kind souls out these who will really put out just to make u happy...

But here's a warning to these people, better watchout and dun step on my toes again else u'll see more than just a blog post....
