Goals and insights...

Been procrastinating for a long time liao, decided to get it done right now!

From the age 5-10, i have thought of becoming a policeman, why? cause i always play the police in the game "Police catch thieves", cause during that era, the television programmes of SBC seems to glorify the role of policemen in our country.

From age 11- 15, i have thought of becoming an actor, why? cause i've been involved in a neighbourhood dance troupe, performing dances around singapore. Joined the chinese drama class as extra curriculum, and star search seems to be the hottest thing then!

From age 16 till now, business it seems, is the way to go, why? Cause i realised the difference between getting a degree and working for someone else's business rather than working on mine. The pay scale, the command structure and my working life would be totally different! And when i retire, at least i have built up a business in my lifetime as opposed to people who work and end up with CPF only.

And of course, this is besides the point that since young, i have aimed to live a life that's as enriching as possible, doing as many different things as i can, to expose myself to all sorts of activities and skills and knowledge { need not be the best ;) }. And with it, to nurture my offsprings to be successful people. This usually spark off some comments from people about this belief of mine. If i can't be really good at anything, whats the use of learning them? Well, question yourself, which are the things we learnt today could enable us to be the best? Or at least be the best at it? I'm not preaching the "Jack-of-all-trades" notion, but actually, coming up with our very own tools or strategies of doing things that allow us to be successful! I would rather be vastly read then being limited to my own specialisation, which a lot of people ended up doing nowadays.

I planned on coming up with my very own family book on our own traditions, practices, ethics and house rules. To create something thats loving, homely, unique to its own.

Wah, a bit ambitious u might say, but hey, i believe my lineage has been rather dormant and lifeless for the past generations. Before it silence itself to extinction, i believe its time for me to step out and create the new order and with it, a new hope.

Haha... a bit crappy, but seriously, believe it or not, friends who can stay long enough with me will see it taking shape, but i need time...

Alright, back to some things which i wanna achieve ba...

Things i wanna learn:
Aikido (I can't believe it, up till now i still know nuts about self-defence)
Latin Dance ( Eileen, i'm booking an appointment with u!)
Piano and beansprouts ( irritated by them all the time, but hey, i love beansprouts!)
Playing Guitar (Self-taught)
Japanese ( Learning now. Self-taught)
Malay (Basic will do. Self-taught)
Flying a plane ( Been in Youth Flying Club and flew it.)
Chinese Music (Been in Chinese Orchestra, Flutist)
Computer knowledge (Primary school geek)
Playing Tennis (Primary School Team)
Playing soccer (Secondary Class Team, 4th place wor)
Economic theories (NTU minor)
Business studies (Self-taught)
Management (Self-taught)
Entreprenuership (Self-taught, rich dad poor dad?)
Accounting (Hmm... Maybe i'll enrol in ACCA when i graduate?)
Diving (Remember my vocation in NS?)
Sky-diving (Seriously must try! Wait till got money first!)
Power-boat driving ( I was best speedbost driver ok! Now need to upgrade! haha...)
Fishing (Dun worry fishes, i wouldn't fish u for my meals!)


Short term goals:
1) Amass a savings of $5000 by end of this year.
2) Get into triple E.
3) Achieve fast track at least and go bangkok for holidays.
4) Launch my NTU business by start of next year.
5) Bring my band up to public performances by year end. Write more new songs!!!
6) Finish the proposal for central CDC.
7) Know more new friends!!! And not forgetting my old buds who have been with me for so long!!! :)

Long Term Goals:
1) Own a business by the time i retire.
2) Hit a least one million in cash, one million in property assets, and one million in any forms of liquid investments by the time i retire.
3) A warm and loving family.
4) Fulfill what i have set out to do!!! Else its just empty promises!!!

Hmm... this should be all for now... got new stuff then i add more... Must be realistic sia haha... I'm not some iron man ya know?

P/S: This entry seems too serious liao hor? But seriously, the way things have turned out for me so far probably influenced me greatly. Met with all kinds of rejections, failures, misfortunes, i guess it makes me stronger. I'm also out to prove a point to all my adversaries, people who have abandoned me when i'm in hard times, people who looked down on me and people who even harmed me before, you guys had better watched out! I'm not what i used to be, and i wouldn't live my life for others anymore! I will live my own life and walk the path the way i want it to be! I'm back with a vengence!
